Do the QR codes expire, or track scans?
No. The code encodes your content directly rather than pointing at a redirect on our servers, so there is nothing to expire, nothing to bill you for, and no scan tracking. It keeps working if this site disappears.
How do I make a WiFi QR code?
Choose WiFi, then enter the network name, password and security type. Phone cameras offer to join the network when they scan it. Special characters in the password are escaped correctly, which is a common source of codes that scan but fail to connect.
PNG or SVG?
PNG for screens and messaging. SVG for anything printed — it stays sharp at any size, from a business card to a poster.
Why did my code stop scanning when I added more text?
QR codes have a capacity limit that depends on length and error-correction level. Past it, the code cannot be generated, and you will be told rather than handed something unscannable.
