Is my file uploaded anywhere?
Nothing is uploaded. The file is read into memory by the page and processed by your own browser, and the site’s Content Security Policy blocks outbound connections entirely — so it cannot send your file anywhere even if it tried.
Can I skip the cover page?
Yes. Skipping the first page leaves it unnumbered and starts the count on page two, which is what most reports and dissertations want.
Can numbering start from something other than 1?
Yes — set any starting number. That matters when a document is one section of a larger bound work and has to continue from where the previous part ended.
What do the format options do?
Plain prints just the digit. "Page 1" prefixes it. "1 of 10" adds the total, counting only the pages actually numbered — so skipping a cover gives "1 of 9" rather than ending awkwardly at "9 of 10".
